When you connect your social media accounts to Sydium, we request specific permissions to provide our services. Here is what we access and how we use it:

5.1 Facebook & Instagram

We request the following permissions:

  • pages_show_list: To display your Facebook Pages so you can select which to connect
  • pages_manage_posts: To publish content to your Facebook Page on your behalf
  • pages_read_engagement: To display post performance metrics and comments
  • instagram_basic: To access your Instagram professional account profile
  • instagram_manage_insights: To display analytics and engagement data
  • instagram_content_publish: To publish content to Instagram on your behalf

5.2 Other Platforms

We also support connections to TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X. For each platform, we only request permissions necessary to publish content and display analytics.

5.3 How We Use Platform Data

  • Publish content you create to your connected accounts
  • Display analytics and engagement metrics from your posts
  • Show comments and messages for inbox management
  • Fetch your existing posts for repurposing features

5.4 What We Do NOT Do

  • We do not sell your social media data to third parties
  • We do not post content without your explicit action
  • We do not access your private messages or DMs
  • We do not share your platform data with advertisers

5.5 Disconnecting Accounts

You can disconnect any social media platform at any time via Settings > Integrations. When you disconnect a platform, we immediately revoke our access and delete the stored access tokens. You can also revoke access directly from the platform's settings (e.g., Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites).

5.6 Data Deletion

When you delete your Sydium account, all connected platform data, access tokens, and cached content from social platforms are permanently deleted from our systems.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Access controls and authentication mechanisms
  • Secure cloud infrastructure

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
