What it is
What does Sydium actually do?
Sydium is an AI clone for social media. It learns how you write from your existing posts, then creates content, schedules it, and publishes to your connected accounts. You can review every post, batch-review once a week, or let it run fully autonomously. Beyond posting, it also handles inbox replies, comment-to-DM automations, and analytics across the platforms you use.
Who is Sydium for?
Solo founders, consultants, small business owners, and indie hackers who need a social presence but would rather not spend their week on it. Also agencies that manage social for clients - the Agency tier supports up to 20 client workspaces with a white-label client portal and approval workflows.
Who is Sydium NOT for?
If you genuinely enjoy creating social content and want full manual control over every word, Sydium is probably overkill. It is also not built to be an enterprise content marketing suite with deep editorial calendars and many layers of governance - it is built to remove you from the daily posting loop, not add process around it.
Voice and trust
Will AI-generated posts actually sound like me?
That is the entire point of Brand Voice. Sydium analyzes your past posts from up to five platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads), plus your website and any documents you upload, and extracts your tone, emoji frequency, hashtag placement, signature phrases, and hook patterns. It also captures your edits over time and feeds them back into future drafts. If you have very few past posts, it tells you up front with a quality score - it does not pretend to clone a voice it has not seen.
What happens if AI posts something off-brand?
Three guardrails. First, you choose the approval mode: Individual Review (you approve every post), Batch Review (you approve a week at a time), or Full Autopilot. Second, Autopilot auto-pauses if engagement drops below a threshold you set or if AI confidence on a post is low. Third, every AI decision is logged in an activity audit trail, so you can see exactly what was generated, approved, skipped, or edited - and you can pause Autopilot from your phone at any time.
What does Sydium NOT do?
It does not run paid ads. It does not handle influencer outreach. It does not do manual graphic design beyond AI image generation. Brand Voice training only supports five platforms as sources (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads) - LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and Bluesky are not currently used to train voice, even though you can publish to all of them. Twitter posting on the Free plan is capped at 10 posts per month.
Setup and process
How long does setup take?
Connecting accounts takes about 30 seconds per platform via OAuth. Brand Voice training runs in the background once your accounts are connected and typically completes within a few minutes. Configuring Autopilot - topics, posting frequency, approval mode, posting window - is a one-time wizard that takes about 10 minutes. After that, the system runs on the cadence you set.
Which platforms does Sydium support?
Nine platforms for publishing: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Pinterest, Bluesky, and Threads. Each platform has its own publishing options (carousels, reels, threads, polls, documents, slideshows). Brand Voice training currently uses five of these as sources: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Threads.
Can I keep oversight, or does it all run automatically?
You choose. Individual Review means every post waits for your approval before publishing. Batch Review queues a week of content and surfaces it for one review session - many people pick Sunday evening. Full Autopilot generates, schedules, and publishes without manual approval. You can switch modes any time, and pause everything from your phone in two taps.
Pricing
Is the free tier actually free?
Yes, no credit card needed. The Free plan includes 200 AI credits per month (about 13 content generations), one Autopilot account with a one-time 14-post trial, 50 leads, and all 9 publishing platforms (with Twitter capped at 10 posts per month). Brand Voice training and automations are reserved for paid tiers. The Free plan is a useful taste; it is not designed to be a permanent stand-in for Pro.
Why is the yearly plan a one-year commitment?
Because we do not play the cancel-anytime-but-only-for-this-month game. Yearly means yearly - you pay for twelve months up front and save about 20% versus monthly. Pro is $28 per month billed yearly (versus $35 monthly); Agency is $79 per month billed yearly (versus $99 monthly). Refunds are honored within 14 days of the first payment, no questions asked. Beyond that, we handle edge cases case by case.
How does the 7-day trial work?
Pro and Agency plans both include a 7-day free trial when you sign up. You can use everything in the tier during the trial. Promotion codes work at checkout. The trial is one-time - returning customers do not get a second trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
How it compares
How is Sydium different from Buffer, Hootsuite, or Later?
Buffer, Hootsuite, and Later are scheduling tools. You still write every post yourself and queue it. Sydium also writes the post - in your voice, optimized per platform - and can publish it without you in the loop. Scheduling is one feature inside Sydium, not the entire product.
How is Sydium different from just using ChatGPT?
ChatGPT does not remember your writing style between sessions, does not connect to your social accounts, and does not post for you. Sydium maintains a persistent Brand Voice profile that improves over time as you edit, generates content scoped to each platform's caption limits and norms, and publishes directly. If you only need occasional one-off drafts, ChatGPT is fine. If you want consistent on-brand output without re-explaining yourself every time, Sydium is what that workflow looks like.
